Privacy & POPIA
Plain terms, because a privacy notice nobody reads protects nobody.
What we collect
Only what a form asks for: your name, contact details, the municipality and ward you live in, and the answers you give. We record which version of which form you filled in, and when.
Why we collect it
For the purpose you agreed to when you ticked the consent box, and nothing else. Consenting to hear about volunteering does not mean we may send you fundraising mail — those are separate purposes and we ask for each one.
How long we keep it
Form submissions for three years, or a year after the campaign ends. Consent records for seven years, because proof of consent has to outlive the processing it authorised. Anonymous website analytics indefinitely.
Who else sees it
The RISE Mzansi organiser for your municipality, and our CRM provider, who processes it on our instructions. We do not sell or rent your details to anyone, ever.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold on you, correct it, or have it deleted. You may object to direct marketing at any time and we must stop. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe, and it works immediately.
